Year 4 Cross Country Race

The Cross-Country Race

My heart was beating fast I felt nervous. I felt EXHAUSTED because of the NOISE. My legs started pumping, Oh my goodness, ok it's my turn. BANG! The clapper went. I reminded myself not to run too fast so that I could sprint at the end, so I ran in a steady pace.

I was puffing like as If I would die from exhaustion but at the same time a whole lot of positive brain waves surrounded me. Adults, kids, teachers were cheering. The positive thinking made me say I can do it, then shhhhhhhhh, I can't do, then again shhhhhhh, stop thinking negative, stay positive.

Anyway I knew I could do it. I tried my best NOT to walk. I carried on running. At the end of the race I just felt like I had lost my breath and I wanted to lie down. SWAY, SWAY I was so dizzy, but at least I did it!
