The moon

The moon is a rock it goes around the earth and comes in phases. There is the crescent,full moon,new moon,half moon and gibbous moon. The moon phases change about every one or two weeks.

The moon has lots of volcanoes. It’s not a star since it produces no light. Since the sun is a star it produces the moon's light and its own.

The moon is very small compared to the other planets but it just looks big since it’s closer to us. The moon is 380,000 kilometers from us, surprising right! but the most surprising thing is that its four hundred times closer than our burning sun.

So will the moon be in our dark sky forever or will it disappear one day.
